Elementary Art/Music Teacher

Do you have a passion for educating and inspiring excellence? We are looking for a highly driven individual to teach visual or performing arts at our K-6 elementary school for the 2025-2026 school year! The ideal candidate would have experience and passion for creating inclusive and exciting learning opportunities at the only STEM designated school in Licking County.

Located in Newark, Ohio, Par Excellence STEM Academy offers an inspiring and challenging educational environment for elementary children. Ideally You Will Have:

• Specialization in one of the visual or performing arts.
• Valid Ohio alternative, standard, or substitute teaching license
• Training in the Science of Reading, approved by the State of Ohio, or willingness to obtain this within nine months of hire
• Certification in first aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain this within three months of hire

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for art or music education that align with curriculum standards.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment for students.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and address any concerns.
• Utilize technology and resources to enhance learning experiences in art and music.

Schedule:

• This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) but can be combined with a part time Teaching Assistant position to make a full time role.
