The Mays School—a Reggio Emilia-inspired private school serving children from infancy through 5th grade—is seeking an enthusiastic 2nd/3rd Grade Teacher to join our vibrant learning community!

What You’ll Do

• Design engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking
• Encourage a classroom culture rooted in respect, kindness, and collaboration
• Integrate inquiry-based and project-based learning inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach
• Create a warm, inclusive environment where each child feels seen, valued, and supported
• Collaborate with colleagues to connect learning across grade levels
• Communicate thoughtfully with families to build strong school-home partnerships

• Strong classroom management built on relationships and mutual respect
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort integrating nature, art, and play into academic learning
• Basic computer skills for lesson documentation and communication
• Available to teach full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30AM-4:30PM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required)
• 2+ years of teaching experience
• Experience teaching in non-traditional setting such as Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or Waldorf (preferred, not required)
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
