- Implementing existing lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Overseeing classroom activities and managing student behavior.
- Assigning and explaining homework.
- Taking accurate attendance and completing required administrative tasks.
- Maintaining classroom order and cleanliness.
- Individuals with at least an Associate’s degree (or equivalent), OR
- Those holding a high school diploma (or equivalent) who have served as education support personnel or paraprofessionals in the district for a minimum of one academic year.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Action Required: Apply for an EMERGENCY Short Call Substitute Teaching license with HR Manager, Kelsie Kuyath.
- Incentive: The license application fee will be covered by Red Wing Public Schools.
- Daily Rate: $200 per day
- Hourly Equivalent: $28.58/hourly
- Benefits: Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST)

Red Wing Public Schools is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to serve as Short-Term/Daily Substitute Teachers to ensure the continuity of student learning when full-time classroom teachers are absent for a day or longer periods of time.

Please Note: The emergency short-call substitute license is valid for three years and can be renewed by paper application. License applications are submitted to PELSB; processing may take several weeks.
