We're seeking an experienced Employment Development Consultant to join our Employment Services team within Community Services & Development.

Would you like to make a difference in the life of a person living with MS or an acquired neurological condition by helping them maintain their employment?
We are seeking a passionate and motivated team member to join our rapidly growing Specialist Employment Support Service team in a part-time (3 days per week) capacity. In this pivotal role, you will support people diagnosed with MS and acquired neurological conditions to retain or secure meaningful employment opportunities.
This position is based in Wilson, offering free parking, access to on-site facilities, and family-friendly, flexible working hours to support your work-life balance.
You will be well supported by structured induction/training, supervision, and a large team of passionate allied health professionals that put the client first.

Ideal Candidate

Your Responsibilities
  • Undertake job seeker assessments with support from our allied health team
  • Create and/or restructure resumes, cover and application letters
  • Match job seekers to suitable job vacancies
  • Build long-term sustainable relationships with employers for job seekers
  • Assist job seekers to obtain suitable employment
  • Manage an optimal caseload of 50 clients
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of hands on experience in employment services, disability support, or community work
  • Relevant Cert IV or higher (a big plus)
  • Understanding of real world barriers faced by people with disabilities and a passion for inclusive employment
  • Clear communication, genuine empathy, and strong problem solving skills
  • Thrives both independently and as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team

Please note: The appointed candidate must successfully complete a National Police Check (possibly an International Police Check) and an NDIS worker check prior to the commencement of employment.
