The Energy Engineer will lead energy conservation and sustainability initiatives across multiple facilities. This role involves designing, implementing, monitoring, and auditing energy-saving projects to optimize utility usage, reduce costs, and support corporate sustainability objectives. The role requires collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and consultants to achieve measurable improvements in energy performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and update energy programs to align with sustainability goals and operational priorities.

Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE energy codes, and industry standards.

Conduct Level 1 & 2 audits for HVAC, lighting, electrical, and high-consumption systems.

Analyze utility data (DEWA, SEWA, TAQA, FEWA) to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

Recommend and oversee energy-saving measures, including equipment retrofits, LED upgrades, VFD installation, and plumbing enhancements.

Lead retrofit projects from planning and cost estimation to implementation, testing, and handover.

Evaluate long-term system performance, vendors, and ROI for energy initiatives.

Prepare monthly and annual reports on energy performance, savings, and recommendations.

Guide facility teams on energy best practices and compliance.

Track key energy KPIs such as consumption reduction, project milestones, and ROI.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent.

Training in energy audits, EMS, HVAC, lighting, and building automation.

5–7 years’ experience in energy-saving project design, implementation, utility analysis, and reporting.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver measurable energy improvements.
Technical:

In-depth knowledge of energy efficiency strategies for HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems.

Proficiency in utility data analysis, benchmarking, and performance evaluation.

Experience implementing energy conservation measures (ECMs) in commercial or industrial buildings.

Vendor and stakeholder management skills.

Familiarity with UAE energy codes, Estidama, LEED, or similar green building standards.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
