Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Engineer II, Project Management in acting as a secondary point of contact for addressing customer requirements and inquiries.
- Support the capture all project requirements for both mechanical and electrical aspects of projects.
- Responsible for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of the detailed project plan and schedule them based on the project priorities and resources available.
- Monitor and assure projects are completed in a timely and professional manner as per the priorities.
- Conduct feasibility study and close the gap between customer requirement and practical solution.
- Participate in meetings between customer and engineering design team.
- Capture lessons learnt over the project lifecycle and drive new project improvement plans.
- Support the Sr. Engineer, Planning & Quality/Engineer II, Project Management to analyse and identifying risks and issues that could impact the delivery commitments.
- Prepare comprehensive and insightful monthly project reports for Sr. Engineer, Planning & Quality and management reviews.
- Apply project management tools and techniques to assist in organizing and tracking project deliverables.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects and deliver to challenging timescales within a team environment.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal network and participating in professional societies etc.
- Learn, understand and comply with applicable contractual obligations and established AL TAIF Quality and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
- Support other members of the Engineering Department in fulfilling their roles.
- Perform other duties as required by their line manager and the Director, Engineering.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechatronics / Electrical engineering / Mechanical engineering is required.
- Masters in Engineering management or MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant professional experience
- Ideally you would have 1 years of project management experience.
- Ideally you would have 1-2 years of Engineering design exposure in electrical, mechanical, or a related technical system is a plus.
- Exposure to project management software like Microsoft Project, Smartsheet is required.
- Excellent presentation skills, questioning, listening and negotiating skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and a methodical approach.
- The ability to work in a fast paced, team orientated environment on multiple discipline projects with changing priorities and schedules is required.
- Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and CMMS is preferred.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English and Arabic, both in writing and verbally is required.
