The Engineering & Specification Representative is a key role on the Pittsburgh Paints Company Protective Coatings team. The role will support the PPC field organization and independent dealer channel throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

This position will report to the Protective Coatings Technical Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with engineering firms and owners to increase the product specification position of The Pittsburgh Paints Company protective coatings products, as well as key products that are distributed
  • Be a liaison with the protective & marine coatings engineering team at PPG and at other manufacturers
  • Lead the integration of key product rollouts
  • Experience in the water/wastewater, petrochemical/oil&gas and fireproofing markets
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience working with protective coatings
  • 5+ years of experience calling on engineering firms
  • AMPP/NACE certification preferred
  • Must be able to travel 50-75% of time

The base salary range is $105-125K/yr and annual bonus of 7.5%
