English and Math Teacher (Part time options)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English and/or Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various mathematical disciplines and English to elementary school kids (Level 1 to 4). This role involves educating students at various levels, fostering a positive learning environment, and utilizing innovative learning technologies to enhance classroom engagement.

Please note this is for after school enrichment program. Existing school district teachers are encouraged to apply

Work location is Bothell.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Educate students on mathematical concepts including discrete math, trigonometry, and differential equations.
• Utilize learning technology to create interactive and engaging lessons.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Dissect complex mathematical problems to simplify concepts for student understanding.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends.

Experience

• A degree in Mathematics, English or a related field is required; Washington State Certification is required
• Proven experience in teaching English or mathematics at Elementary school level is advantageous.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and lesson planning strategies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively in the learning process.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.46 per hour

Expected hours: 23 – 27 per week
