Entry Level Interior Designer

High End Interior Design firm based in Brooklyn, is seeking an entry-level Interior Designer with a strong Architectural background.

Qualified candidates should be comfortable working in CAD and/or Revit, familiar with Architectural Drafting, and should be able to generate full color 3-D digital renderings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Designers with the following production tasks throughout all design phases; preliminary space planning, construction document refinement, material selection and research, and finish schedule development
• Prepare detail drawings for construction documents
• Prepare graphics and visual design presentations, including color boards
• FF&E selections
• Space planning, furniture placement in AutoCAD, color & material selection
• Communicate with vendors and client as needed to follow-up on items and issues

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• One year of experience working in a design firm preferred but not required
• Intermediate AutoCAD proficiency required, Revit experience preferred
• Fluent in Architectural Drafting
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modeling and digital rendering programs
• Self motivated and highly organized
• Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail
• Ability to keep up in high paced work environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing
• Car a plus (some travel may be requested at times)
