As our operations continue to expand, we are seeking a qualified professional to manage all environmental and permitting responsibilities for our U.S. facility, ensuring full regulatory compliance and smooth coordination with external authorities.

Objective / Purpose

The Environmental Compliance & Permitting Manager is responsible for maintaining all permit and environmental compliance requirements within the Houston site, ensuring the facility operates in accordance with federal, state, and local regulatory authorities such as Harris County, Fire Marshal, MUD33, TCEQ, ISO, TISAX, UL, and other applicable jurisdictions.

This position oversees the application, renewal, and maintenance of all required certificates and permits—such as Certificates of Occupancy, Compliance, and Inspection—and provides technical guidance to company management and operations teams to ensure all activities meet current regulations and industry best practices.

Principal Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative direction on all permit-related policies and programs, aligning with the organization’s core purpose, vision, and compliance objectives.
  • Oversee and enforce compliance with all regulatory and company environmental requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for environmental compliance and employee orientation.
  • Generate and submit environmental reports and permit applications as required by applicable regulations.
  • Oversee wastewater treatment facility installations and operations to maintain environmental standards.
  • Review and update internal permit policies and procedures to ensure they reflect current laws and practices.
  • Conduct hazard analyses and risk assessments, recommending corrective or preventive actions when necessary.
  • Communicate and coordinate with local agencies—including Harris County, Fire Marshal, ASI, TUV, ISO, and TISAX—regarding inspections, certifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Support cross-departmental coordination with Production, Quality, Sales, and Supplier teams to ensure all operational activities comply with permit and environmental standards.

Abilities and Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, HSE, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in permitting, HSE, or environmental compliance
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and environmental laws applicable to manufacturing operations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple compliance activities with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Preferred

  • Experience supporting the startup or expansion of new business operations
  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage environmental and permitting processes, maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities, and ensure full compliance with all applicable standards and certifications.
