Summary

We are seeking, for one of our subsidiaries, an Environmental Project Manager to lead the implementation and maintenance of our Environmental Management System (EMS 14001) . The successful candidate will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, oversee audits and risk assessments, and drive sustainable practices across construction and landscape projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all projects comply with local and international environmental regulations .
• Develop and implement Construction Environmental and Social Management Plans (CESMP) .
• Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies.
• Obtain and manage required environmental permits and licenses .
• Lead the implementation and continual improvement of ISO 14001 EMS .
• Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
• Investigate environmental incidents, accidents, and near misses; determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Train and coach staff on EMS procedures and environmental best practices.
• Promote sustainable initiatives including waste reduction, energy conservation, and recycling programs.
• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and ensure mitigation measures are integrated into project planning.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and contractors on environmental matters.
• Maintain environmental documentation, performance reports, and monitoring records.
• Lead environmental monitoring programs and prepare compliance reports for senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in environmental management within construction or a high-risk industry.
• Strong knowledge of local and international environmental standards (ISO 14001, LEED, CEP).
• Proven experience implementing environmental programs and audits .
• Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and risk mitigation .
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in environmental management software and data analysis tools .
• Preference for candidates with professional environmental certifications .

About the Project:

The Wadi Greening Project aims to transform and rehabilitate natural wadis into sustainable green ecosystems that enhance biodiversity, improve water management, and support environmental sustainability. The project focuses on restoring native vegetation, preventing soil erosion, and improving groundwater recharge through eco-friendly landscaping and smart irrigation techniques.

In addition to its environmental benefits, the project contributes to creating natural recreational spaces, promoting community well-being, and supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives related to sustainability and quality of life.

Key elements include land restoration, native tree planting, sustainable irrigation infrastructure, and integration of environmental monitoring systems to ensure long-term ecological balance and resilience.
