Responsibilities of the ESTIMATION ENGINEER:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and client requirements to develop competitive bids
  • Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and subcontractors for cost planning
  • Review and validate vendor quotations and subcontractor bids
  • Develop cost control strategies and monitor project budgets throughout the lifecycle
  • Use software tools like CostX, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD for estimation and quantity take-offs
  • Prepare and present cost reports, risk assessments, and value engineering proposals
  • Stay updated on market rates, industry trends, and new construction techniques
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and client contractual requirements
  • Support the contract negotiation process and post-award cost tracking

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimation Engineer in construction or infrastructure projects
  • Expertise in cost estimation software such as CostX, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, cost control, and procurement processes
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver accurate estimates within deadlines
  • Familiarity with local construction codes and standards
