Job Description Review and evaluate credit proposals based on relevant information and recommend appropriate credit decisions to mitigate key risks and protect borrowers' repayment ability. Review and approve internal rating proposals and provide input towards improvement of the internal rating models and their robustness. When awarded with Credit Discretionary Limit, to exercise such authority with integrity and in a prudent manner. Keep abreast of regulatory updates, and ensure that all credit approvals comply with applicable regulatory guidelines as well as internal policies and procedures. Monitor portfolio quality and recommend forward-looking action. Participate in bank-wide regular and ad-hoc portfolio reviews and stress-tests to identify potentially vulnerable accounts and recommend appropriate actions. Conduct due diligence meetings to ensure a better understanding of relevant risks to support credit decisions. Lead/assist in ad hoc projects as required. Coverage: sovereigns and sovereign-owned entities as well as global financial institutions (ie. banks, non-bank financial institutions, such as finance companies, securities companies/brokers-dealers, insurance companies, asset management companies) with a focus on ASEAN Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or higher Minimum 20 years' of relevant credit risk management experience, including several years as relationship manager Strong understanding of credit principles, experienced in analyzing and approving FI credits, in particular NBFI names Good knowledge in trade finance, transaction banking, and global market products and the relevant documentation, Effective communication skills Fluent in English (written and spoken); Chinese (written and spoken) will be an advantage High level of integrity and a team player Self-motivated and able to work under pressure Additional Requirements Be a Part of the UOB FamilyUOB is an equal opportunity employer.
