Position Summary

A luxury hospitality operation in the UAE is urgently seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Pastry Chef to lead the pastry division. This Department Head role oversees all pastry operations, menu development, team leadership, and quality excellence across multiple culinary outlets.

The ideal candidate brings a refined pastry background, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage a high-performing team while upholding world-class standards. This is a family-status position offering an attractive compensation package and exceptional benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all pastry and bakery operations, ensuring consistent quality, creativity, and presentation.
  • Develop and execute innovative pastry, dessert, and bakery menus aligned with brand standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor a multicultural pastry team, fostering creativity and excellence.
  • Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety protocols across all pastry production areas.
  • Manage production schedules, workflow, and resource planning to meet daily operational demands.
  • Monitor food cost, inventory, ordering, and waste control within departmental budgets.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef, F&B teams, and outlet leaders to ensure seamless service.
  • Conduct regular tastings, quality evaluations, and team development sessions.
  • Ensure efficient coordination between pastry and service teams to maintain timely execution.
  • Participate in menu engineering, seasonal promotions, and special events.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Chef in luxury hotels or high-end culinary operations.
  • Strong foundation in modern and classic pastry techniques, chocolate work, and artisanal bakery.
  • Ability to manage large-scale production without compromising creativity or detail.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in training and developing culinary teams within diverse environments.
  • Strong understanding of cost control, menu engineering, and pastry kitchen operations.
  • High level of professionalism, creativity, and passion for the pastry arts.
