Supernova Furniture is one of the fastest growing furniture companies in all of Houston and the surrounding area! We have been in business for almost 30 years! We are looking for EXPERIENCED furniture store sales managers for a couple of our six stores (see website-- www.supernovafurniture.com-- for location details). Bilingual skills are not necessary but strongly considered (English-only and Spanish-only applicants also welcome).

Job Summary :
We are seeking experienced Furniture Store Sales Managers to lead our sales team and drive the success of our retail operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional sales experience, strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a proven track record in retail management. This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively manage store operations, enhance sales performance, and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional service.
  • Manage showroom inventory, including merchandising to optimize product availability.
  • Conduct employee orientation and training programs to ensure all staff are knowledgeable about products and sales techniques.
  • Utilize retail math to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and forecast inventory needs.
  • Implement effective marketing strategies to promote store offerings and drive foot traffic.
  • Supervise cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and adherence to company policies.
  • Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in the recruiting process to build a strong team.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff regarding store policies, promotions, and performance expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures while fostering a positive team culture.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in furniture store management.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management and prioritization of tasks.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are preferred for enhanced customer interaction.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with phone etiquette.
  • Knowledge of inventory management processes including pricing strategies and stock control.
  • Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for budgeting and financial reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
