Fabrication Shop Helper

We are currently seeking a determined and professional individual to support our shop operations, with a focus on packaging, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting the welding team, particularly on the logistics side. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment but can also perform independently when needed. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, the ability to multitask, and adaptability to change are essential for success in this position.

Job Title: Shop Helper

Department: Manufacturing

Reports to: Operations Manager

Status: Full-time employee

Payment : $18.00 an hour

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• 1-3 years’ work experience preferred.
• Must have valid proof of eligibility to work in the USA.
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking is a plus.

General job responsibilities and qualifications needed to perform the job include, but are not limited to:

• Load and unload trucks; safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials within the facility.
• Package, repackage, and label materials and finished products for shipment or storage.
• Assist with inventory management, including organizing and maintaining stock areas and tracking material flow.
• Support fitters and welders with the handling of components, assembly prep, and general shop logistics.
• Perform basic quality control checks on materials and assembled parts under the direction of the production team.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative when tasks arise.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares with accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production and logistics operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical demands:

• While performing this job, the successful candidate will be regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The employee must occasionally push and/or pull a maximum force of 200 ft-lb.
