Family Medicine Locums Physician, North Carolina - Weekdays Only, Phone Call

Primary care locums opportunity near Raleigh, North Carolina, with no weekend rounding and phone-only call from home.

Highlights

• Weekday hours only; no on-site call or weekend rounding
• Phone-only call; shared rotation with 3 other providers

Practice Setting

• Adult and geriatric patients at a skilled nursing and long-term care facility
• Dedicated physician office and support from pharmacy, rehab, and psych teams
• EPIC charting with Dragon dictation
• Collaborative physician team onsite

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Weekday call: phone only, 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
• Weekend call: rotating 24-hour pager coverage (home-based)

Cases and Procedures

• Daily medical rounds and assessments
• Admission H&Ps, discharges, and periodic reviews
• Lab/imaging/medication review and treatment planning
• Attendance at interdisciplinary team meetings

Requirements

• MD or DO with active North Carolina license
• Board Certified or Eligible in Family or Internal Medicine
• BLS and DEA required
• Experience with geriatrics or long-term care preferred

Travel Accommodations

• All-inclusive rate; travel/lodging should be built into rate
• Near Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)
