Responsibilities

• Perform major inspections of Frame 5, 6, 7 & 9 HDGT machines.
• Perform laser alignments & Borescope inspection on all machines.
• Perform equipment start up, diagnostic and troubleshooting.
• Perform water wash procedure.
• Perform lube oil and cooling water systems flushes as per recommended procedures.
• Pre commissioning and commissioning of oil system, starting system, fuel gas system, air system.
• Advise on interpretation of drawings for installation optimisation.
• Work closely with Instrumentation Engineer during maintenance/installation, calibrating electrical instrumentation such as vibration probes, temperature elements, servo actuators.
• Mark up all piping drawings to show modifications.
• Unload and inspect gas turbine major auxiliaries at the installation site and position them on the foundation.
• Perform geometric dimensional checks of foundation, equipment and auxiliary skid positioning, levelling (ensure levelness and elevations of sub sole plates and perform contact checks between sub sole plates and package supports) and alignment.
• Install and assemble activities of gas turbine and auxiliary equipment such as oil console, air system, interconnection piping, coolers, structure, ducts, oil flushing, blowing, etc.
• Ensure all gas piping and orifices are correctly installed for each piping system.
• Install inlet and exhaust systems per BH / Vendor specifications.
• Check out and initial operation of base mounted gas turbine starting means.
• Perform lock out and tag out.
• Perform small mechanical repairs at machining tools in the workshop.

Qualifications

• Technical degree.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Heavy Duty Gas Turbines (HDGT).
• Experience in installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Good attitude to manage relationships with customer and HQ concerning technical and contractual aspects.
