Field Testing Agronomist

Key Tasks:

• Responsible, with high level of autonomy at external testing hub, for testing field/site selection and field trial management to understand product performance at best.
• Active participation on testing network planning and its characterisation.
• Engaging with farmers/partners to collect appropriate data (environmental, management practices, etc).
• Operating in seed preparation activities for our testing network (seed counting, packaging, cassette preparation).
• Operating research equipment like planters, tractors, combines and sensing devices for testing purposes.
• Data analysis and report building based on captured data on the field.
• Collaborating with Local and regional Field Testing teams to ensure quality data and on time delivery to all stakeholders.
• Managing equipment logistics and maintenance planning for field testing activities
• Engage with EMEA region and Global Implementation of digital farming technologies for research and development of new products.
• Participation on regional (Europe, Middle East & Africa - EMEA) projects related to development of new testing technologies and process optimization.
• Engage in deployment and ideation of future’s upcoming technologies with Testing Operations Manager and Technology Deployment Specialists
• Active support to the Testing Operations Manager to identify technical and operational needs for optimal, efficient and safe operation.
• Understand, comply and advocate for company Environmental, Safety and Health rules, ensuring the quality and sustainability of the work done from him/her.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Agricultural Engineering and MSc with relevant years of experience
• Broad knowledge of crop production, crop protection, farming practices and equipment management
• Good communication skills
• Advanced English knowledge (active participation in projects and meetings)
• Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
• Project management, Planning and good collaboration skills are needed
• Strong computer skills with desirable data science knowledge (Python, R,Machine learning frameworks)
• Willingness to travel locally and abroad (70% of time)
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-based environment.
