Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and manage financial strategies across all entities under the group.
- Oversee budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis for each entity.
- Collaborate with department heads across the companies to provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Consolidation and Reporting:
- Prepare consolidated financial reports for the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for all entities are delivered on time.
- Analyze financial performance and provide reports to the Group CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
- Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
- Monitor group-wide cash flow, ensuring efficient allocation of funds across entities.
- Manage banking relationships, including loans, credit lines, and other financial instruments for the group.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls, identifying and mitigating financial risks across the group.
- Work with external auditors and oversee the audit process for all entities.
- Shared Service Optimization:
- Ensure the shared finance department functions effectively and efficiently for all entities.
- Streamline processes, enhance financial software utilization, and implement best practices across the group.
- Collaborate with HR and IT to optimize shared service functions and technology solutions.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance team within the shared service model, ensuring high performance across the department.
- Manage the allocation of finance resources to meet the needs of all companies.
- Strategic Advisory:
- Provide financial advice on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate actions.
- Support the group in strategic growth, expansion plans, and capital structuring.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education and Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certifications (CPA, CFA, ACCA, or equivalent) are strongly preferred.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in a finance role, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management position.
- Experience in a group of companies or a large corporate entity with a shared service model is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of multi-entity financial consolidation and reporting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in accounting software (Focus or similar ERP systems).
- Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of financial modeling.
- Familiarity with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local regulations.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities to lead a finance team across multiple entities.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Ability to navigate complex financial structures and provide solutions to optimize processes.
