Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Develop and manage financial strategies across all entities under the group.
    • Oversee budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis for each entity.
    • Collaborate with department heads across the companies to provide financial insights for decision-making.
  2. Consolidation and Reporting:
    • Prepare consolidated financial reports for the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for all entities are delivered on time.
    • Analyze financial performance and provide reports to the Group CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
  3. Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
    • Monitor group-wide cash flow, ensuring efficient allocation of funds across entities.
    • Manage banking relationships, including loans, credit lines, and other financial instruments for the group.
  4. Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
    • Develop and maintain strong internal controls, identifying and mitigating financial risks across the group.
    • Work with external auditors and oversee the audit process for all entities.
  5. Shared Service Optimization:
    • Ensure the shared finance department functions effectively and efficiently for all entities.
    • Streamline processes, enhance financial software utilization, and implement best practices across the group.
    • Collaborate with HR and IT to optimize shared service functions and technology solutions.
  6. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the finance team within the shared service model, ensuring high performance across the department.
    • Manage the allocation of finance resources to meet the needs of all companies.
  7. Strategic Advisory:
    • Provide financial advice on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate actions.
    • Support the group in strategic growth, expansion plans, and capital structuring.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Education and Certification:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Professional certifications (CPA, CFA, ACCA, or equivalent) are strongly preferred.
  2. Experience:
    • 7+ years of experience in a finance role, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management position.
    • Experience in a group of companies or a large corporate entity with a shared service model is advantageous.
    • Strong understanding of multi-entity financial consolidation and reporting.
  3. Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in accounting software (Focus or similar ERP systems).
    • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of financial modeling.
    • Familiarity with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local regulations.
  4. Leadership and Communication:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities to lead a finance team across multiple entities.
    • Excellent communication skills to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
    • Ability to navigate complex financial structures and provide solutions to optimize processes.
