Financial Counsellor

Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and well-presented Male Financial Counsellor to assist patients and families with hospital billing, insurance coordination, treatment cost estimates, and financial queries. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, good financial understanding, and experience working in a hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clear and accurate cost estimates for treatments and procedures.
• Explain hospital charges, billing procedures, deposits, and payment policies.
• Assist with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and cashless process.
• Coordinate with TPA/insurance teams for approvals and documentation.
• Guide patients on financial assistance schemes and payment plans.
• Verify patient documents and maintain accurate financial records.
• Address billing queries and support the discharge billing process.
• Liaise with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff for billing clarifications.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure patient satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–3 years experience in hospital billing, insurance, or financial counselling.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing and TPA processes.
• Proficient in MS Office and hospital billing software.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer care skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle pressure.
• Male candidates only (job requirement due to patient-support/shift duties).
