Job Summary:
The Firefighter will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, providing fire suppression and rescue services, and promoting fire safety and prevention in the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fire safety protocols, excellent physical fitness, and the ability to work in a high-stress environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency situations, such as fires, accidents, and hazardous material incidents, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct fire suppression and rescue operations using various equipment and techniques.
- Assist in the evacuation of individuals from buildings during emergency situations.
- Inspect and maintain fire equipment, including fire trucks, hoses, and pumps.
- Conduct fire safety inspections and identify potential hazards in buildings and public areas.
- Educate the community on fire safety and prevention measures through presentations and demonstrations.
- Maintain accurate records of all emergency responses and activities.
- Participate in training and drills to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Work as part of a team to ensure a safe and efficient response to emergencies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a firefighter.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to pass a physical examination.
- Strong understanding of fire safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to remain calm and perform effectively in high-stress situations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift schedule.
