Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman with a strong background in utility infrastructure projects, including trial pit works, trenching operations, and coordination of underground service lines. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience managing site activities and a solid understanding of underground utilities such as drainage, stormwater, electricity, water, and other service networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities related to utilities, trial pits, and trenching.
- Ensure proper execution of excavation, trenching, backfilling, and reinstatement works.
- Interpret construction drawings, utility layouts, and service maps.
- Identify and locate underground utilities safely during excavation works.
- Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient workflow.
- Coordinate with engineers, safety officers, and subcontractors for smooth project operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and approved method statements.
- Prepare daily progress reports and update site management on work status.
- Resolve site issues and support the team to maintain work quality and timelines.
- Guide workers on correct construction practices, safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience as a Civil Foreman in utility infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of underground services (drainage, storm water, electricity, water, telecommunication).
- Experience in trial pits, trenching, and excavation supervision is essential.
- Ability to read and understand civil and utility drawings.
- Good leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
- Strong understanding of HSE practices and site safety protocols.
- Ability to work in fast-paced site environments and manage multiple tasks.
