Forklift Operator - MUST have practical Experience

The Role

We are seeking a skilled operator to join our production team in our Factory and perform tasks integral to the timely production and cold chain integrity of fresh produce.

You will be an integral part of ensuring the timely production and dispatch of salads from our farm - across Australia and the world!

Key Responsibilities

• Movement of raw material and finished goods as it progresses through our processing facility.
• Maintaining a constant focus on safety of all team members whilst operating either electric or gas forklifts.
• Ensure pre-start check is undertaken before use of forklift and other equipment certifying the equipment is in good working order.
• Ensure the correct PPE is always worn.
• Advise maintenance team of any faults, who will arrange for repairs to be carried out.
• Immediately advise of any hazards and or safety issues.
• Work toward a target of zero near miss incidents or accidents.
• Review processes, procedures and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Work in a refrigerated environment (average 2.5 degrees).
• Adhoc housekeeping duties including maintaining a clean, clear work environment at all times.
• A safety-first approach to your work to ensure your own safety and the safety of others.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Current Forklift License required and a minimum of 6-12 months practical experience
• Store person, warehouse, logistics experience is essential.
• Must be a team player with a strong focus on safety.
• Reliability is critical in this role.
• Sound literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to work rostered weekends.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to follow instructions including company policies and procedures.
