Key Responsibilities

 Develop & implement sales strategies — Create and execute business plans to

expand market share, boost revenue, and increase customer base (air freight, sea

freight, export/import, value-added logistic services).

 Lead business development & lead generation — Identify and target new business

opportunities (cold-calling, networking, referrals, market research), build pipeline,

follow-up, and convert leads to clients.

 Client acquisition & key account management — Build and maintain strong

relationships with both new and existing clients; understand their logistics

requirements and propose tailored freight forwarding solutions (air, sea, customs,

value-added logistics).

 Negotiate, prepare proposals, and close deals — Prepare quotations / proposals,

negotiate freight rates and service terms, ensure contracts are signed and on board

clients.

 Collaborate internally for smooth execution — Work closely with operations,

documentation/customs clearance, transport/warehousing teams — ensure proper

execution of shipments, service delivery and customer satisfaction.

 Monitor markets, trends & competition — Stay updated on market trends,

competitor activities, trade-lane viability; provide market intelligence and recommend

strategic actions.

 Team leadership (if applicable) — Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team (if the

role involves juniors or multiple sales persons), set sales targets per team member,

and ensure they deliver.

 Reporting & forecasting — Maintain and update CRM/sales tracking systems;

prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, revenue analyses, and present to senior

management.

Required / Preferred Experience & Skills

 Experience: Typically 10+ years in freight forwarding / logistics sales, preferably

with proven track record in air & sea freight, import/export, value-added logistics

(customs brokerage, warehousing etc.).

 Domain knowledge: Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations — air

freight, sea freight, export/import procedures, shipping documentation, multi-modal

logistics, trade-lane dynamics.

 Sales & negotiation skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability

to negotiate terms and close deals with large corporate clients.

 Client relationship management: Ability to build long-term relationships, manage

key accounts, understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.

 Analytical & market awareness: Ability to analyze market trends, competitor

activity, customer needs, and craft strategies accordingly; comfortable using CRM

tools and generating reports.

 Leadership & team management (if role involves team): Ability to lead a sales

team, mentor/promote growth, set sales goals, and drive team performance.

 Administrative & coordination skills: Maintain accurate records, coordinate with

internal departments (operations, documentation, finance), ensure service delivery and

customer satisfaction, Custom clearance knowledge liaising with Custom officers,

Project cargo handling, Machinery installation too are also a criteria.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
