About us
Here at Candid Maven our flagship offering, Education Directory, helps people make one of the most important decisions of their lives, where to study. We’re a lean, profitable, fast-growing digital platform connecting students with the right schools. But we’re not stopping at education.
We’re expanding into healthcare, legal, finance, insurance, solar, and more — and our backend needs brains.
We don’t do hand-holding. We’re an execution machine. And we’re hiring someone who’s excited to build the systems that power it all.
About the Role
You’ll be working across different business units, architecting and building smart systems, logic and automations that shave hours off ops work. You’ll work closely with marketing, product, and data to make sure every click is faster, smarter, and better optimized than the last. What you do in your day to day will have a direct impact on our bottom line.
You’ll design APIs, debug workflows, scale microsites, and probably write a few clever edge functions that propel ahead of competitors and into new markets.
And if you’re obsessed with AI? Great. So are we. We want smart AI driven solutions.
What You’ll Work On
- Build and scale dynamic, high-converting websites using React/Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and CSS
- Architect and launch serverless Supabase Edge Functions and smart API logic
- Connect tool and platforms that get the job done
- Use AI tools to boost quality, productivity and creativity
- Write smart, maintainable PostgreSQL queries (joins, indexes, views) that scale seamlessly
- Build framework-less Vanilla JS features that don't rely on bloated libraries
- Work with Finsweet Attributes, CMS Filters, and custom logic in Webflow
- Monitor and improve lead funnels, conversion tracking, and routing logic with data and precision
- Automate QA and testing with Jest, Playwright, and continuous deployment workflows
- Push Git commits that solve real business problems, not just check a ticket off
You’ll Need To Know
We’re not going to list 100 acronyms. If most of this stack makes you nod, you're probably already right for the job:
- JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+), React/Next.js, Node.js
- Python (for backend logic + fast prototyping)
- Supabase (Edge Functions, Postgres, Auth, etc.)
- PostgreSQL (deep knowledge preferred)
- Webflow CMS + Finsweet tools (Attributes, Filters, Forms)
- REST APIs, OAuth, external service integration (auth, CRMs, lead platforms)
- Jest, Playwright, CI/CD, GitHub Actions
- Modern CSS (Flexbox, Grid, media queries)
- Real-world AI tools: you’ve used GPT, agents, or AI-driven workflows in production
Who You Are
- You think in systems. Not just code.
- You’re outcome-driven, not obsessed with frameworks for their own sake.
- You’ve probably automated some process in your life just to see if it worked.
- You love shipping fast but hate messy architecture.
- You can bounce between building a frontend in Webflow and designing a Postgres view — and you enjoy both.
- You’ve got strong opinions, but love smart collaboration.
What You’ll Get
- A high-impact role on a team that actually ships and scales
- Freedom to experiment with AI tools, agents, and automations
- A say in how we scale our entire stack, infrastructure, and product logic
- A team that values efficiency, speed, autonomy, and results
- Real business problems to solve, not abstract tasks
- The joy of seeing your work immediately improve performance, speed, and ROI
- No silos, no politics, just real collaboration
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From ₹230,000.00 per month
Application Question(s):
- Tell us about a system, product, or automation you’ve built that you’re genuinely proud of. What problem were you solving, how did you approach it, and what was the outcome?
- Walk us through a recent time you used AI to improve your workflow or ship faster. What did you use, and how did it help?
- You join a remote team mid-project. The codebase is unfamiliar, documentation is limited, and there’s a long Slack thread with missing context. How do you get up to speed and start contributing quickly?
- Do you understand this role is US hours, 9-6 ET?
