Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Three's Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, with a focus on early childhood development, literacy, and social-emotional growth. This role involves leading classroom activities, developing curriculum, and collaborating with staff to ensure a high-quality educational experience for all students. The Lead Teacher will also serve as a role model for both children and fellow educators, promoting best practices in childcare and early education.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including Montessori and other educational frameworks.
- Lead daily classroom activities for preschool children, ensuring an engaging and safe environment that supports their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, fostering positive social interactions among children.
- Assess individual student progress through observation, documentation, and standardized testing when appropriate; adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or special needs.
- Supervise assistant teachers and support staff, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional techniques.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and safety standards.
- This position does require assisting children in potty training.
- Incorporate literacy education, math activities, physical education, and other subject areas into daily lessons to promote well-rounded development.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early intervention, special education, childhood development, and innovative teaching methods.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety policies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience with curriculum development across various subjects including literacy, math, physical education, and behavior management.
- Proven classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans tailored to preschool age groups such as Three's classrooms.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
