Overview
The Garment Tech Pack Designer supports the development of apparel by creating clear, accurate, and well-structured technical documentation used by design, sampling, and production teams. The role ensures that all style information—measurements, materials, sketches, and construction details—is presented in a professional and production-ready format.

Key Responsibilities1. Tech Pack Creation

  • Prepare complete and accurate Tech Packs using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel.
  • Develop flat sketches (front/back/side), colourways, trims, and fabric specifications.
  • Prepare measurement charts, construction details, and finishing guidelines.
  • Update Tech Packs based on internal reviews, fit comments, or design changes.

2. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with the design team to translate concepts into technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with sales and product teams for materials, colours, and item details.
  • Collaborate with pattern makers and sample teams to ensure technical feasibility.
  • Support clear communication across teams on all technical aspects.

3. Measurement & Fit Support

  • Create size charts and grade rules for different garment categories.
  • Participate in fit sessions, record changes, and adjust Tech Packs accordingly.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in all measurement standards.

4. Bill of Materials (BOM) & Trim Sheets

  • Prepare BOM sheets including fabric, trims, threads, labels, and packaging.
  • Ensure all materials are clearly listed with specifications and approvals.
  • Coordinate with sourcing and purchasing for updated materials or revisions.

5. Documentation & Data Management

  • Maintain organized records of all Tech Pack versions and updates.
  • Ensure product data is entered accurately into internal databases/ERP.
  • Follow company formats and templates for consistency across categories.

6. Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain standardized formats for Tech Packs.
  • Ensure accuracy in construction details, labelling, and technical requirements.
  • Support internal quality standards and compliance processes.

Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, stitches, and production processes.
  • Knowledge of pattern making, grading, and fit evaluation.
  • Ability to prepare print/embroidery placement drawings and colour breakdowns.

Soft Skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple styles at once.
  • Ability to work within deadlines and adapt to changes.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Tech Pack creation or garment technical design.
