Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled GPR Operator to perform subsurface investigations using Ground Penetrating Radar technology. The ideal candidate will locate underground utilities, voids, and structural elements, ensuring accurate, high-quality data collection and reporting for construction, engineering, and surveying projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) equipment to identify underground utilities, pipes, cables, and structural components.
- Conduct field surveys safely and efficiently at job sites, commercial buildings, and infrastructure projects.
- Interpret and analyze GPR data to generate accurate reports, layouts, and utility maps.
- Mark utility locations on the ground using paint, flags, or markers as per project requirements.
- Work closely with project engineers, survey teams, and site supervisors to support project planning and risk mitigation.
- Maintain GPR equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
- Document field findings, prepare daily reports, and submit accurate data to the project manager.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures while working on active job sites.
- Assist in other subsurface detection methods as required (EML, CCTV inspection, etc.).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or technical certification (Engineering or surveying background preferred).
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a GPR Operator or Utility Locator.
- Strong knowledge of GPR equipment (e.g., IDS, GSSI, Leica, Mala).
- Ability to read drawings, maps, utility plans, and site layouts.
- Valid driver’s license (required).
- Physical ability to work outdoors, walk long distances, and handle equipment.
