Who We Are

We are a premier, family-owned tire retailer that has become a trusted fixture in the communities we serve. Our mission is to keep people safe on the road—never to sell them something they don’t need.

Our wholesale division supports more than 1,000 auto shops, tire stores, and dealerships across Vermont, Upstate New York, and Upstate New Hampshire.

Our retail brand is lighthearted, whimsical, and tongue-in-cheek, with a strong emphasis on community, family, and safety. Our wholesale brand aligns with this personality, while also communicating that our associate dealers are part of our extended family. We support them with custom artwork and messaging that helps them connect with their customers.

We also operate a small specialty division focused on car and truck performance. This segment has a more edgy, enthusiast-driven aesthetic tailored to a passionate automotive audience.

We are seeking a versatile, highly creative professional—a true visual chameleon—capable of managing and evolving these distinct brand identities: two rooted in family and community, and one, smaller but significant, that speaks to the spirit and excitement of automotive performance.

The Role

You will be the visual guardian of our identity. One minute you will be designing a soft, artistic campaign about family safety for a local newspaper that extends to our website and social media pages, and the next you will be designed customer point of sale materials for the shops we serve, and pivot to designing gritty, high-contrast graphics for a car event.

We need a creator who can design the screen, the newspaper, the showroom floor, everything else.

The Dual Challenge

You must be comfortable shifting gears between two distinct vibes:

  • Brand A, B (The Light & Artistic): Focused on community, family safety, and trust. The aesthetic is clean, approachable, and artistic. You need to speak to the parent looking for reliability and the local customer looking for a friendly face.
  • Brand C (The Edgy & Focused): Focused on performance, car culture, and modification. The aesthetic is bold, aggressive, and modern. You need to speak the language of torque, tarmac, and customization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Digital & Social Media

  • Create engaging daily content for Facebook, Instagram, and emerging platforms, distinctively tailored to each brand's voice.
  • Website Management: Oversee the visual maintenance of our websites. Update banners, product imagery, and landing pages to ensure the user experience stays fresh and functional.

2. Print & Traditional Marketing

  • Design eye-catching newspaper and magazine advertisements that pop off the page.
  • Create distinct flyers and mailers for wholesale and retail promotions.

3. Showroom & Point of Sale (POS)

  • Transform our showrooms with custom POS materials. From tire stack displays to counter mats, you will ensure the in-store experience matches the brand promise.

4. Merch, Swag & Wearables

  • Design custom apparel (uniforms, hats, streetwear) that our staff is proud to wear and our customers want to buy.
  • Create unique swag items for trade shows and customer giveaways.

5. Events & Brand Strategy

  • Custom Art: Create bespoke artwork for special events, car meets, and seasonal promotions.
  • Brand Building: We don't just want you to execute orders; we want ideas. You will brainstorm new, creative ways to build our brand presence and separate us from the competition.

Requirements

  • An Artistic background: If you are a good artist, everything else can be taught.
  • Portfolio Required: Must demonstrate an ability to work in different styles (e.g., Clean/Corporate vs. Grunge/Urban).
  • Software Mastery: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, Adobe Express.
  • Web Savvy: Experience with basic web management (Squarespace, Wix, or similar CMS platforms) current Seach engine optimization knowledge is a plus.
  • Print Knowledge: Understanding print production, bleed, CMYK vs. RGB, and preparing files for large format printing.

Why Join Us?

  • Creative Freedom: We are a family-owned business, not a rigid corporation. If you have a crazy idea that might work, we want to try it.
  • Tangible Results: You will see your designs driving down the street on cars, worn by people in town, and hung up in showrooms and at the center of major events.
  • [Benefits: 401k, Employee Discounts, Paid Time off.]

To Apply: Please submit your resume and a link to your portfolio. In your cover letter, tell us about a time you had to design for two completely different target audiences.
