Role Overview

Pert is seeking a passionate and skilled Social Media Video Editor to join our growing content team. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into compelling, high-quality video content specifically optimized for social media platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of storytelling, mastery of professional editing tools, and direct experience managing video content through the entire social media posting lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Video Creation and Editing

  • Edit High-Quality Content: Assemble, cut, and edit raw video footage into polished, engaging short-form (e.g., Reels, TikToks, Shorts) and long-form videos that align with Pert's brand voice and marketing objectives.
  • Enhance Visuals: Implement creative elements including text overlays, captions, graphics, motion graphics, and visual effects to maximize audience retention and engagement.
  • Audio & Color Correction: Perform professional-level audio mixing (dialogue, music, sound effects) and color correction/grading to ensure visual and audio consistency across all platforms.
  • Storytelling & Pacing: Use strong narrative skills to develop an effective pace and rhythm that captures and holds the attention of social media users.
  • Format Optimization: Efficiently export and manage video files, ensuring correct aspect ratios, resolutions, and compression settings are used for each specific social platform (e.g., 9:16 for Stories/Reels, 16:9 for YouTube).

Social Media & Content Management

  • Platform Expertise: Directly handle the uploading and publishing of final video content onto Pert's various social media channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook).
  • Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media video trends, platform changes, and content formats to ensure Pert's videos remain fresh and competitive.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and content teams to brainstorm video concepts and incorporate feedback throughout the editing and posting process.
  • Asset Management: Maintain a highly organized library of all video assets, project files, and final deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on, professional experience in video editing, preferably within a social media or digital marketing environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in industry-standard video editing software. Please specify which tools are essential for Pert:
  • Must be proficient in: Adobe Premiere Pro (or Final Cut Pro/DaVinci Resolve).
  • Familiarity with: Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and visual effects.
  • Social Media Knowledge: Proven experience with the technical requirements and content best practices for posting videos on major social platforms (e.g., captions, hashtags, publishing tools).
  • Creative Skills: Excellent eye for visual composition, timing, and an ability to turn a simple brief into a compelling visual narrative.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to quality control, ensuring no errors in graphics, continuity, or audio before publishing.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva).
  • Basic filming/videography skills.
  • Understanding of social media analytics (e.g., view duration, engagement rates).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,186.80 - ₹34,220.89 per month
