Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality grilled dishes and assisting with food preparation to ensure efficient kitchen operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the creation of delicious meals that meet safety and quality standards. Experience in food service, culinary arts, or the food industry is preferred, and familiarity with dietary and menu planning is a plus. The position emphasizes food safety, proper handling, and presentation of meals, supporting our commitment to excellent dining experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook grilled dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
  • Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
  • Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment
  • Follow portion control guidelines and presentation standards for all dishes
  • Support kitchen staff in daily operations, including catering or special event preparations as needed
  • Adhere to food safety protocols at all times during food handling and cooking processes
  • Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary roles preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety practices
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and food handling
  • Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or special dietary needs as required
