Role Description

The Group Director - Supply Chain Management will play a pivotal leadership role overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations across all entities within the Group. Based in Dubai, UAE, this full-time on-site position is responsible for strategic procurement, inventory control, logistics, vendor management, and the implementation of supply chain best practices.

The role requires a visionary leader who can drive operational excellence, strengthen supplier relationships, optimize costs, and ensure seamless alignment between commercial, project, and operational functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the Group's supply chain strategy across multiple business units and regions.
  • Oversee procurement planning, vendor selection, contract management, and logistics coordination.
  • Drive process improvements and implement digital tools to enhance visibility, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Optimize inventory management systems to ensure cost control and timely material availability.
  • Collaborate closely with project, finance, and operations teams to align supply chain initiatives with business objectives.
  • Manage supplier performance, negotiate high-value contracts, and establish strong strategic partnerships.
  • Develop and mentor supply chain teams to foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, quality, and ethical compliance standards across all procurement and logistics activities.

Qualifications

  • 12-17 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations leadership, ideally within the electrical, mechanical, or industrial sector.
  • Proven record of strategic planning, cost optimization, and efficiency enhancement at a group or multi-site level.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise with modern supply chain technologies, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration (Master's degree preferred).
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Ability to manage complex priorities and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • On-site presence in Dubai, with flexibility to travel and oversee regional operations as needed.
