Through interactive live-video content, we’re improving the world’s political conversation through discourse, engagement, and entertainment. Our platform empowers independent journalists and content creators from all sides, fostering transparency and reducing partisanship. We’re building a true home for politics, one where productive dialogue thrives via a vibrant community and topical features.

We’re a small team of passionate entrepreneurs and builders. And right now, we are in the final stages of re-imagining and re-launching our platform with a grand public launch in early January. Role Specifics

Position Title: Growth Marketing lead

Location: Fully Remote - U.S. Eastern Time

Reports To: One of the Co-Founders

Job Type: Full-Time (preferably start as contractor then convert to employee)

Desired Start Date: On or before December 10th, 2025

Job Overview:

Join us as our founding Growth Marketing Lead

With a pulse on U.S. politics and internet culture, you’ll concept, launch and iterate bold organic acquisition strategies & campaigns. You’ll own user acquisition strategies & consumer growth funnels across a variety of platforms (like TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube Shorts, Reddit, Discord, Group chats, etc), using data-driven insights to drive sign-ups, retention and viral engagement. Working alongside our paid ad management agency, you’ll be the consumer growth engine behind our upcoming breakout launch and ongoing growth. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role, with the opportunity to truly reshape the online political landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Organic Consumer Growth Ownership:

Build and obsess over viral, zero-CAC consumer acquisition channels: high-level organic social (strategy, posting calendars, and cross-channel connections), referral programs, content marketing, share-to-unlock features, etc.

Own the entire consumer onboarding funnel from first touch → sign-up → first livestream watched → daily active viewer — testing hooks, messaging, and friction points.

Experiment with cross-promos and partnerships (ex: podcasts, newsletters, Substacks, Discord servers, campus orgs, etc.)

Enable our existing creators to migrate and grow their audiences on Povi: co-create branded referral tools, cross-promotion templates, and audience-porting campaigns (e.g.,"bring your X followers to my first Povi stream") to turn their brands into organic growth amplifiers.

Growth Systems & Measurement

Build and live in a real-time consumer growth dashboard that founders can check daily.

Run 2–4 growth experiments per week, kill losers fast, double down on winners. Tracking KPIs like sign-ups, activation, retention, referral rates and viral coefficient to determine.

Own App Store Optimization, landing-page tests, and any SEO that can drive organic web sign-ups.

Analytics and Optimization:

Analyze KPIs (sign-ups, activation, retention, referral rates, viral coefficient) and iterate weekly on all growth levers.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with our designer/clipper to brief visual assets and ensure cohesive brand presence.

Work hand in hand with our external paid ad agency - think targeting insights, high performing creative, big upcoming events - so that paid & organic channels reinforce each other.

Team up with our existing creators on co-branded promo content and simple briefs, so their audience easily flows into Povi's consumer funnels.

Trend Awareness:

Live on the pulse of U.S. politics, internet culture, and platform algorithm changes, spotting opportunities before they peak.

Monitor emerging organic growth tools, viral mechanics, and best practices (e.g., new TikTok features, Reddit AMAs) to keep our approach innovative.

Required Qualifications:

Proven track record driving measurable organic user growth (ideally 50K–1M+ users or equivalent) for a consumer app or media platform.

Deep experience designing and scaling organic acquisition strategies (referral programs, influencer/creator campaigns, cross-promos, content marketing, community-led growth).

Comfortable with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Amplitude/Mixpanel, or similar) and building dashboards.

Extreme familiarity with U.S. political and internet culture.

Basic familiarity with paid advertising (formats like Search, Display, and Video). Enough so you can confidently sync your organic work with our paid ads agency.

Ability to thrive independently in a remote, fast-paced startup environment.

Ideal (not required) Qualifications:

Passion for fostering balanced political discourse and reducing partisanship.

Experience growing a politically-focused or news/media app during a U.S. election cycle

Deeper experience with paid ad platforms (GAM, Spark, Advantage+ etc).

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field
