Hardware Design Engineer – C&P

You will become a part of a dynamic team that serves the top HVDC worldwide customer as a hardware design engineer –switchyard Control and protection. Within our project groups, it is a varied, autonomous position with lots of responsibility, and you will have excellent opportunity to further your abilities with HVDC. The hardware design of the HVDC system falls under the purview of our division. This covers design, documentation, revision updates, and as-builts.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Good Knowledge On Substation equipment’s
• Basic knowledge on all types of protection for Feeders, transformers, Busbars, Reactors, Capacitors etc…
• Basic knowledge on International Electrical Standards (IEEE/IEC/DIN).
• Development of schematic design with support of lead engineer using Engineering base design tools.
• Share Return of Experience. Implement the applicable RoEs in design phase.
• Time schedule & On Time delivery
• Participate with Team leader / Project Manager and finalize deliverables and project plan.
• Manage design time spent on relevant activities
• Ensure on-time delivery of Quality design deliverables
• On weekly basis provide Team lead and /or PM with project reviews
• Project strategy, risk management, Process & Tools
• Follow project strategy & highlight scope or design changes
• Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes
• Anticipate and mitigate delivery issues and recommend change
• On weekly basis provide Team lead and /or PM with project reviews

Desired background.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Should have between 1-3 years of experience working with Switchyard control and protection.
• Knowledge on HVDC and AC Substations concepts.
• Have basic Knowledge in Control, Protection etc. in MV/HV/EHV Substation Projects.
• Basic knowledge in Engineering base design tool is an advantage.
• Good Knowledge in AutoCAD tool design.
• Knowledge on HVDC projects will be advantage.
• Communication, teamwork, and analytical abilities.
• The ability to speak and work German will be advantageous.
