Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Quality Control

  • Plan, prepare, and produce a wide range of baked goods (breads, pastries, cakes, specialty items).
  • Ensure consistent product quality, taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Develop new recipes and seasonal product lines.
  • Monitor baking schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

2. Team Leadership

  • Supervise, train, and mentor bakery staff.
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure smooth workflow in the kitchen.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development.

3. Inventory & Cost Management

  • Monitor stock levels and order ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
  • Manage food costs, portion control, and minimize wastage.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.

4. Hygiene & Safety

  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Oversee cleaning schedules and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
  • Enforce compliance with HACCP and local food regulations.

5. Operational Management

  • Collaborate with management on menu planning and product pricing.
  • Ensure efficient production to meet daily demand and special orders.
  • Address customer feedback regarding bakery products.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Baker or Senior Baker (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food production processes.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Creativity in developing new bakery products.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP standards.
