Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Quality Control
- Plan, prepare, and produce a wide range of baked goods (breads, pastries, cakes, specialty items).
- Ensure consistent product quality, taste, texture, and presentation.
- Develop new recipes and seasonal product lines.
- Monitor baking schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
2. Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and mentor bakery staff.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure smooth workflow in the kitchen.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development.
3. Inventory & Cost Management
- Monitor stock levels and order ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
- Manage food costs, portion control, and minimize wastage.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
4. Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Oversee cleaning schedules and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
- Enforce compliance with HACCP and local food regulations.
5. Operational Management
- Collaborate with management on menu planning and product pricing.
- Ensure efficient production to meet daily demand and special orders.
- Address customer feedback regarding bakery products.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Baker or Senior Baker (5+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food production processes.
- Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Creativity in developing new bakery products.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP standards.
