The Head of Architecture & Planning will lead the overall architectural vision, master planning, design development, and execution of construction projects for the organization. The role requires a strong blend of architectural expertise, project management, leadership, and strategic planning to ensure innovative yet functional designs aligned with business objectives, sustainability standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Leadership & Planning

  • Define and lead the architectural vision, design principles, and planning strategy for all new and ongoing projects.
  • Develop master plans, zoning studies, and site layout concepts for large-scale properties.
  • Review and approve architectural drawings, layouts, space planning, and presentations.

Project Development & Execution

  • Oversee all phases of design from conceptualization to construction documentation and execution.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including planners, designers, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize costs without compromising design quality and functionality.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure project plans comply with local, state, and national building codes, environmental regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities, planning commissions, and relevant government agencies for project approvals.

Sustainability & Quality Standards

  • Integrate sustainability, green building practices, energy efficiency, and innovative materials into architectural designs.
  • Ensure consistent application of corporate design standards and quality control procedures across all projects.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard architectural firms, consultants, landscape designers, and PMC partners when required.
  • Review proposals, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance of external partners.

Budgeting & Timeline Management

  • Prepare project budgets, timelines, and resource plans for architectural scope of work.
  • Monitor costs, design changes, project variations, and ensure adherence to approved budgets and schedules.

Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and guide an internal team of architects, planners, and design professionals.
  • Promote collaboration, innovation, and a solution-focused culture within the team.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field; professional license preferred.
  • 10–18 years of progressive experience in architectural design, master planning, or project development.
  • Strong portfolio of working on large-scale real estate, hospitality, commercial, township, or mixed-use development projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, green building certifications (LEED/IGBC), and planning policies.
  • Proficiency in CAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM tools, and project management software.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
