We’re supporting a global organisation in the renewable energy and manufacturing space that is looking for a
Head of Procurement
to lead their procurement function for India. This role will oversee all direct and indirect sourcing, supplier strategy, negotiations, and team leadership across the country.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the overall procurement strategy for India across direct materials, indirect goods and services, CAPEX, and logistics.

Manage direct sourcing (raw materials, components, finished goods) and indirect categories (IT, HR, facilities, professional services, etc.).

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, commercial terms, and long-term agreements.

Track supplier performance and ensure KPIs around cost, quality, delivery, and ESG are met.

Work closely with internal teams including finance, operations, manufacturing, IT, and HR.

Lead and develop the procurement team, driving continuous improvement and cost optimisation.

Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical sourcing standards, and statutory requirements.

Manage procurement budgets and deliver measurable savings and value creation.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).

15+ years of procurement experience across direct and indirect categories.

Strong understanding of local and global supplier markets.

Proven experience in negotiations, supplier management, and procurement transformation.

Leadership experience and the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
-
Background in renewable energy or manufacturing is an advantage.
