About the Position
The incumbent serves as the agency’s lead for privacy compliance and information governance, playing a critical role in ensuring adherence to HIPAA Privacy standards, responding to FOIA requests and overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of agency policies and procedures. The incumbent manages and coordinates privacy-related activities across departments, acting as a liaison with state-level partners to ensure alignment with evolving regulations. The incumbent also leads efforts in document modernization and digitization, utilizing tools like SharePoint to organize, manage, and provide secure access to departmental records and resources. The incumbent work closely with the agency’s IT team to ensure that data privacy, security protocols, and system configurations support compliance requirements. In addition, the incumbent develops and delivers training programs to ensure that all staff understand and follow privacy policies and procedures. The incumbent also provides strategic guidance to leadership, manage internal HIPAA audits, and supervise support staff involved in privacy, records, and information management.
About the Agency
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in business or public administration, social services, sociology, psychology, or other field(s).
Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional technical, analytical and developmental work experience with at least one (1) year in a lead/supervisory role.
