Job Description: History Teacher (ICSE Curriculum)

Reporting To: Head of Department / Principal

Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to deliver engaging lessons as per the ICSE curriculum. The teacher will inspire students to understand and appreciate historical events, processes, and perspectives, helping them connect the past to the present.

Key Responsibilities:

● Teach History to students of Classes [Grade 6–10] as per the ICSE syllabus.

● Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, assignments, and projects that align with board requirements.

● Use innovative teaching methods, storytelling, and multimedia tools to make history engaging and relatable.

● Conduct formative and summative assessments; evaluate and record student performance.

● Encourage analytical thinking, evidence-based reasoning, and historical interpretation among students.

● Prepare students for internal and ICSE board examinations.

● Maintain discipline and foster a respectful classroom environment.

● Participate in school programs, debates, heritage clubs, and educational excursions related to history.

● Stay updated with curriculum changes, historical research, and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Requirements:

● Education:

○ Bachelor’s Degree in History or a related field.

○ B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.

○ Master’s Degree preferred.

● Skills:

○ Strong communication and presentation skills.

○ Ability to make historical concepts engaging and relevant.

○ Good classroom management and organizational skills.

○ Familiarity with ICT tools for teaching.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
