Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and safety of our hotel facilities. This role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting various mechanical and electrical issues, and supervising maintenance activities to uphold high standards of guest satisfaction and property integrity. Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and structural components.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as plumbing fixes, electrical troubleshooting, welding, and residential painting.
- Utilize schematics, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems to manage building automation.
- Oversee facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors when necessary, providing leadership and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS or other documentation tools.
- Assist with general cleaning, painting, or cosmetic repairs to enhance the appearance of the property.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations related to facilities maintenance.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or emergency repair needs with professionalism and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and structural repairs.
- Experience working with schematics, electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Welding skills are a plus for metal repairs or fabrication projects.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management is desirable.
- Supervising experience in a maintenance setting is advantageous for leadership responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English are required for effective team coordination and guest interaction.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial settings involving facilities maintenance will be considered beneficial.
