About the Role

As a Housekeeping Intern, you will have the opportunity to be fully immersed in the Housekeeping Department, learning at different levels of responsibility, and working with a team. You will also provide excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and clean guests’ rooms including replenishing room supplies as per the Shangri-La room standards policy.
Inform valets to collect guests’ clothes for laundry, dry cleaning or pressing.
Maintain the public and general areas cleanliness. Report any maintenance-related issue to the respective department.
Collaborate with colleagues to keep excellent service standards and be prepared to assist other Shangri-La colleagues/departments in a thoughtful manner.
Empathetically listen to client queries/complaints and work with colleagues/management to find solutions.

About You

Maintains a growth mindset and willingness to learn the skills and knowledge of housekeeping.
Great teamwork skills, attention to detail, efficient, punctual, and flexible to work on a shifting schedule, weekends and holidays.
Warm, friendly, can-do attitude, and the desire to always deliver the Shangri-La experience.
High School, Diploma, and/or Hospitality graduate would be preferred.
Previous customer service and/or housekeeping experience in luxury hospitality/customer service is a plus.
