The HR Assistant/Recruiter will support the Sr. HR Generalist and administration team. This role will primarily focus on recruiting while also providing general HR support and assisting with special projects. The ideal candidate would be organized, personable, and thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoying supporting both candidates and our internal teams. Essential tasks with this position include the following:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)
- Manage initial recruitment process for a variety of technical, engineering, surveying, and administrative roles.
- Assist with developing, monitoring, and maintaining job postings and advertising roles.
- Source and screen candidates through multiple platforms including Indeed.com, LinkedIn, and Handshake.
- Attend career fairs and other networking events.
- Coordinate initial phone interviews between the Sr. HR Generalist and candidates while providing timely communication.
- Assist with supporting the creation and implementation of recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
- Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records.
HR Support & Special Projects
- Assist with the pre onboarding activities such as background checks and drug testing.
- Assist with onboarding activities, including generating and processing new hire paperwork and supporting orientation.
- Aid in maintaining employee files, HR records, and compliance documents.
- Support HR initiatives such as employee engagement, surveys, policy updates, and training coordination.
- Participate in and help manage special projects, research assignments, and process improvements as assigned by the Sr. HR Generalist.
- Provide general administrative support.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, I/O Psychology or related field (Preferred but not required).
- 2 - 3 years of HR or recruiting experience, preferably in engineering, technical, survey, or professional services industries.
- Proficient with business software (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Schedule:
- Part time (15-20 hours per week)

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
