Position:

Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP – Training and Development Mgr.)

Department: Human Resources

Employment Status: Non-Union; Grade 8 Non-Exempt; Full-Time

(40 Hours/Week)

Pay Grade: Grade 05; Step 01 – Step 15

Salary Range: $27.91/Hour

Schedule: Mon – Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Certifications/Licenses Required: Bachelors Degree or greater in Business Human Resources Management or other related discipline.

SUMMARY

The City of Chicopee’s Human Resources Department is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner who will be primarily responsible for managing the planning, coordinating and execution of assigned HR operations/activities. The incumbent must be able to provide training, leadership, troubleshooting, and guidance as needed. Will have access to and knowledge of sensitive employee and organization information. Responsibilities include administrative, professional and managerial duties requiring a high degree of confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

Develops and manages human resources programs for varied departments.

Collaborates with other colleagues and stakeholders to maintain the LMS, HRIS, and HCM system

Assists the CHRO and Deputy Chief HR Officer in the completion of analysis

Managers training development for the City workforce, including collaboration of training as necessary to School employees

Manages integrity of employment processes according to City policies, practices and Department of Labor standards; manage subordinate efforts to maintain effective leadership relations, training and learning applied to the workforce

Managers HR relations with City Departments. Collaborating with department leadership to establish and maintain fair and compliant work practices

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources Management or other related discipline.

A minimum of five (5) years of finance or business experience

A minimum of two years of Human Resources and business training experience

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

HRIS or SHRM certification eligibility strongly desired

Bi-lingual (Spanish speaking) - preferred
