About Demos
Disruption is inevitable — and Indian politics has long awaited a positive one.
Demos Project partners with organizations determined to do things differently — with
strategy, speed, and substance. We work with leaders who have a healthy impatience for
change, helping them build long-term strategies and in-house growth platforms that truly
connect with people.
At our core, we put people first — and the rest follows.
We believe in designing campaigns that listen deeply, engage authentically, and communicate
meaningfully. Our approach blends insight with innovation — crafting political strategies rooted
in people, purpose, and progress.
Role Overview
At Demos Project, the HR Generalist will serve as a key enabler of people strategy —
balancing Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Performance Management, Learning &
Development, and Employee Engagement.
This role requires a proactive and empathetic professional who thrives in a high-energy,
fast-moving campaign environment. The HR Generalist will ensure every employee touchpoint
— from recruitment to retention — reflects the culture of collaboration, agility, and accountability
that drives Demos.
Key Responsibilities

● Manage end-to-end hiring across verticals including Design, Editing, Research,
Content, and Media teams.
● Maintain and update the hiring tracker, monitor open positions, and align with hiring
budgets.
● Source candidates through LinkedIn, Naukri, Internshala, Indeed, and internal
referrals to support volume hiring needs.
● Conduct screening, interview coordination, and salary discussions.
● Support employee onboarding, documentation, and background verification
processes.
HR Operations & Data Management
● Maintain attendance, leave, and payroll coordination through HR software systems.
● Collaborate with the Finance team for payroll accuracy and compliance reporting.
● Track HR analytics on hiring, attendance, attrition, and performance for leadership
reporting.
● Maintain employee records and ensure data confidentiality.
Performance Management & L&D
● Support implementation of performance review cycles and competency assessments.
● Assist in tracking key metrics and maintaining structured performance documentation.
● Coordinate Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives — including soft skills,
leadership, and technical training sessions.
● Work with leadership to identify skill gaps and plan focused upskilling modules.
Employee Engagement & Well-being
● Design and execute employee engagement programs to foster team cohesion and
morale.
● Organize stress management sessions, wellness workshops, and recreational
activities.
● Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, addressing grievances and ensuring
workplace harmony.
● Champion an inclusive, transparent, and collaborative workplace culture.
Policy, Compliance & Governance
● Support HR policy drafting, updating, and implementation across verticals.
● Ensure statutory compliance and adherence to company HR guidelines.
● Maintain HRIS data integrity and documentation readiness for audits.
Preferred Qualifications
● Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
● Hands-on experience with HRIS, ATS, and Payroll systems.
● Demonstrated ability to manage complex people operations with empathy and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related fields.
● Minimum 3 years of experience in recruitment and HR operations, preferably
managing on-ground teams.
● Strong communication skills in Tamil and English.
● Excellent Excel and data management proficiency for HR analytics.
Work Environment & Expectations
● Fast-paced, multi-stakeholder campaign setting requiring agility and attention to detail.
● Flexibility with working hours, especially during key campaign activity phases.
● High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
● Collaborative mindset and ability to balance operational efficiency with people-centric
engagement.
Why This Role Matters
Behind every high-impact campaign is a strong, motivated, and well-supported team.
As the HR Generalist, you’ll shape the organizational culture that powers every message,
