We are seeking an HR Manager with hospital or healthcare HR experience to manage end-to-end recruitment and general HR operations. This role involves high-volume hiring, including clinical (nursing, technicians, allied health) and non-clinical (administrative, housekeeping, billing, etc.) roles. You will work closely with department heads, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and support the day-to-day HR needs of a busy hospital environment. Recruitment & Staffing (Major Focus)
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for both medical and non-medical positions
- Coordinate with Nursing, Radiology, Lab, ER, Billing, Housekeeping, and Admin heads to understand staffing needs
- Screen resumes, create shortlists, schedule interviews, and participate in panel interviews
- Verify education, licenses, certifications, and clinical credentials
- Oversee reference checks, background checks, and onboarding
- Maintain recruitment timelines for urgent staffing needs (ER, ICU, OR, nursing staff, technicians)
HR Operations
- Handle employee relations issues professionally and confidentially
- Maintain compliance with healthcare employment regulations and labor laws
- Support performance evaluations, corrective actions, and documentation
- Manage attendance, scheduling issues, and workforce deployment
- Coordinate benefits, leave management (including FMLA), and workers’ compensation
- Maintain accurate HRIS and personnel records
- Assist in training programs such as orientation, mandatory hospital training, and annual competencies
- Support payroll with accurate data and timely updates
Compliance & Hospital Standards
- Ensure all staff meet credentialing, immunization, and training requirements
- Maintain adherence to hospital accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, local/state regulations)
- Participate in audits and surveys
- Keep HR policies updated and ensure staff awareness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 1 or 2 years of HR experience in a hospital or healthcare setting (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of clinical staffing needs and credentialing
- Experience with high-volume recruitment and fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Familiar with HRIS systems, onboarding platforms, and compliance workflows
