This is a unique opportunity to shape HR for Agristo’s first US site and build a strong people culture from the ground up. As the HR Manager, you will be the key local HR contact, translating Agristo’s global HR frameworks into practical solutions for the US organisation. This is a hands-on role focused on employee support, compliance with US labour laws, and close collaboration with the global HR team.

Wat zal je doen bij Agristo?

Workforce Planning: Adapt & monitor the people roadmap for the US Production facility in Grand Forks, aligned with business needs & growth plans.

HR Team Building : Building and developing the local HR team based on identified need. You’ll do this in close collaboration with the global HR team.

HR Frameworks & Processes: Implement scalable HR systems and processes, and adapt global policies to fit the US context.

Talent Development: Localise Agristo competency frameworks, design US-specific development programmes, and set up the local Agristo Academy.

Training & Development: Coordinate and deliver training initiatives using Agristo Academy resources.

HR Operations: Manage day-to-day HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations.

Compliance & Governance: Ensure full compliance with US labour laws and company policies.

Leadership development & support: Guide local managers in performance management, coaching, and team development. Help the leaders to install a culture of people empowerment, aligned with our global people strategy.

Culture & Engagement: Foster a positive work environment that reflects Agristo’s values and guiding principles, with a strong focus on safety, health, and employee wellbeing.

Community & Employer Branding: Build relationships with local stakeholders and support employer branding and community initiatives.

Hier herken jij jezelf in:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with at least 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in food or manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in hands-on HR operations, ideally in a start-up or scale-up environment.

  • Strong sense of responsibility with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and approachable.
  • In-depth knowledge of US labour law and HR compliance.
  • Comfortable working within global frameworks and collaborating with international teams.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ideally based in the Grand Forks region
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
