Key Responsibilities

  • Process Payroll: Execute timely and accurate end-to-end processing of bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, including permanent, part-time, and temporary staff.
  • Data Management: Collect, verify, and input all necessary payroll data, including hours worked, new hires, terminations, salary changes, benefits deductions, garnishments, and leaves of absence (FMLA, LOA).
  • Compliance & Reporting:
  • Ensure all payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file all required payroll-related tax returns and reports.
  • Manage annual and quarterly reporting activities, such as W-2s, P11Ds, and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual).
  • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs and manage related payroll deductions, coordinating with external vendors as needed.
  • Reconciliation & Auditing: Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll data and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding compensation, benefits, tax withholdings, and general payroll queries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • System & Process Improvement: Utilize payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, SAP, Kronos) efficiently and assist with the implementation of new systems or process improvement initiatives.
