Job Title: Payroll Officer

Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process monthly payroll for office and site-based employees, ensuring correct calculations of basic salary, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and allowances.
  • Prepare and review payroll reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies and UAE labor laws.
  • Ensure timely salary disbursement through the Wage Protection System (WPS) and coordinate with finance for bank transfers and salary payments.
  • Verify and update employee attendance records, including leaves, absences, sick days, and public holidays.
  • Calculate overtime wages based on labor law regulations and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with site administrators and HR to ensure accurate data collection from timekeeping systems.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, including gratuity, end-of-service benefits (EOSB), and leave salary calculations.
  • Handle payroll audits and prepare required documentation for external audits or labor inspections.
  • Stay updated on any changes in labor laws, tax regulations, or payroll policies and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Process employee deductions such as loan repayments, salary advances, fines, and other authorized adjustments.
  • Administer benefits like medical insurance, air ticket allowances, and end-of-service settlements as per company policies.
  • Address payroll-related queries from employees and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Provide pay slips and salary certificates upon request.
  • Educate employees on payroll policies, salary structures, and deductions where required.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare detailed payroll reports for management review.
  • Reconcile payroll transactions with financial statements and assist in budget planning for labor costs.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of payroll data.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in payroll processing, in construction companies in the UAE.
  • Strong understanding of UAE labor laws, WPS processing, and end-of-service benefits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED50,000.00 per month
