We are a staffing company, and our client, a manufacturing company, located in Jackson, GA, is seeking HR Assistant.
In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations. Responsibilities
- Support new employee orientation and onboarding programs to promote engagement and retention from day one.
- Manage employee records accurately within HRIS platforms like SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or UltiPro, ensuring data collection and entry are precise and up-to-date.
- Aid in benefits administration by processing enrollments, changes, and inquiries related to health insurance, workers' compensation, and retirement plans such as Paychex or ADP.
- Contribute to employee relations initiatives by assisting with conflict management, performance management processes, and employee evaluation activities.
- Support HR projects related to change management, organization design, succession planning, and affirmative action planning to enhance workforce effectiveness.
- Maintain compliance with employment & labor law standards including OSHA regulations and FMLA policies through diligent record-keeping and documentation.
- Assist in training & development programs by coordinating sessions and tracking participation using tools like Taleo or Paylocity.
- Facilitate communication across departments via social media management and internal channels to promote HR initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in human resources management or administrative roles with exposure to HR sourcing, data entry, and project management.
- Strong knowledge of human capital management practices including talent acquisition, performance management, and workforce management strategies.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors or UltiPro is highly preferred.
- Understanding of employment & labor law regulations including OSHA standards and workers' compensation policies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and discreetly.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) like iCIMS or Taleo; payroll platforms such as Paychex or ADP is advantageous.
- Organizational skills for managing contracts, benefits documentation, training schedules, and employee records accurately.
